Acoustic/Specialized inline oil tank Tank inspection

KELAJ Group is working with R. Janki Contracting Group, Suriname with OEM SSA Acoustic & Specialised Inspections (Pty) Ltd which was established in 2007.

Kelaj is specialized in delivering proven acoustic emission monitoring methodologies to our specific target market. Other services Kelaj provides are TANKPAC™ online bulk storage tank monitoring, MONPAC™ online spheres, bullets and pressure vessel monitoring, TA-LRUT™ automated ultrasonic inspection of tank annular rings, LSI automated ultrasonic inspection of tank shells, tank roofs, pipelines and vessels and our CLIP (complete lift inspection programme) on mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP’s).

With our strategic partnerships with R. Janki Contracting Group, SSASI and KELAJ is committed to providing a value added and professional service to the oil and gas Inspection services in Suriname focusing on In-service storage tanks, pressure vessels, and pipeline inspections without shutdown. We are currently in USA, South Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe, incorporating in Guyana and working with R. Janki Contracting group in Suriname.

Acoustic emission – storage tank complete in-service assessment

1.TankPAC™ Acoustic Emission: Floor condition assessment while remaining in-service to allow the end user to prioritise tank internals and allow maintenance budgets to be used on tanks that show poor condition.

2.CUT™ Long Range UT: Long range ultrasound assesses the internal annular ring up to 400mm into the tank searching for severe pitting corrosion that could lead to structural failure. Automated B-Scan thickness assessment is included on the external portion of the annular ring.

3.Automated Robotic Shell Assessment: B/C Scan corrosion mapping in accordance with the standard.

4.Manual Ultrasonic Thickness: Manual Ultrasonic thickness measurements on the tank roof and appurtenances in accordance with the API653.

5.E.O.D.R Assessment: Electro-optical distance ranging tank measurements assessment.

6.API653 In-Service visual assessment and calculations as per standard.

>500 TankPAC floor condition assessments carried out since the establishment of the company and >100 complete in-service tank assessments.

Clients: Sasol, Shell, Chevron, Total, BP, SAPREF, Engen Refinery, Botswana Oil, Orion Carbon Engineering, Astron both national and international companies.

MonPAC ™ Acoustic Emission: The assessment is designed to evaluate the structural integrity of the metallic pressure vessels, spheres, columns and tanks, enabling 100% inspection of a vessel during one pressure test.

Automated Robotic Shell Assessment: B/C Scan corrosion mapping in accordance with the standard.

Various additional inspections methods using ropes are applied, such as, but not limited to:
Pulsed eddy currents (PEC),
Phased array assessment (PAUT),
Time of flight diffraction (TOFD),
Alternating current field measurements (ACFM),
Drone assessments,
Conventional NDT.

E.O.D.R Assessment: Electro-optical distance ranging tank measurements assessment.

>50 pressure vessel assessments carried out since establishment of the company. All engineers are trained in accordance with their quality management systems and procedures.
